Pastor Jack Keating began his service here at Trumansburg United Methodist Church on July 1, 2026. Pastor Jack has served in pastoral ministry for over 28 years in Onondaga County.
In 2018, Pastor Jack completed the United Methodist Church’s Course of Study program. The 20-course ministry training program allows Pastor Jack to serve as a Licensed local Pastor here in Trumansburg.
Pastor Jack’s favorite scripture is one of our traditional Ash Wednesday texts, Psalm 51: 10-12:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.”
Pastor Jack finds this text an important part of his daily prayer life and it helps him remain focused on the need for all of us, as human beings and Christians, to be renewed and restored by Christ each and every day.
Pastor Jack is married to Rev. Alicia Wood, the pastor at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Ithaca. His hobbies and interests include painting (on a canvas… not walls!), all sorts of music, and trying hard to spoil his grandkids. All 8 of Jack and Alicia’s grandkids live in the central NY area, and many days off are spent enjoying their events and activities!
Pastor Jack hopes to greet you in worship soon! And just ask to see pictures of his grandkids… he’ll be glad to share them with you!
